Project Description: The HYLIOS project will focus on promoting new innovative solutions for the sustainable and efficient generation of green hydrogen through the photocatalytic splitting of water using treated wastewater.

The project’s objectives are to develop and optimize photocatalytic systems for green hydrogen production, integrate these technologies into wastewater treatment plants to generate energy and high-value-added chemical compounds, and synthesize new catalysts that will be validated in novel photocatalytic reactors. Additionally, a pilot test facility will be built to evaluate the equipment in a relevant environment
